Terms of service
Last updated 27 October 2026. These terms apply to the ChefBot plugin for ChatGPT and to this website.
1. Who provides ChefBot
ChefBot is provided by NeuralTake, an AI consultancy based in the City of London, United Kingdom ("NeuralTake", "we"). Contact: info@neuraltake.com. By using ChefBot you agree to these terms. ChefBot runs inside ChatGPT, so OpenAI's terms also apply to your use of ChatGPT; where the two conflict about ChatGPT itself, OpenAI's terms govern.
2. What ChefBot is
ChefBot is a set of instructions, reference tables and scripts that help ChatGPT act as a cooking assistant: recipes from available ingredients, scaling and conversions, meal plans and shopping lists, step-by-step guidance, dietary adaptations, substitutions, drink pairings, food-safety information, recipe cards and cooking techniques. Its answers are generated by a language model and may be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable for your situation.
3. What ChefBot is not
- Not medical, nutritional or dietetic advice. ChefBot does not diagnose conditions or prescribe diets. Nutrition figures are estimates. Follow the advice of your doctor or dietitian.
- Not a guarantee of allergen safety. ChefBot can adapt recipes and flag common hidden sources of allergens, but it cannot know the contents of your packaged ingredients or the cross-contact in your kitchen. You are responsible for checking labels and for the safety of anyone you cook for. If you or they have a diagnosed allergy, do not rely on ChefBot.
- Not official food-safety guidance. ChefBot quotes published temperature and storage figures but applies them through a language model. Use a thermometer, follow the official guidance for your country, and when in doubt, throw food away.
- Not a professional service. ChefBot is for home cooking. It is not intended for use in commercial food preparation, where regulated hygiene and allergen procedures apply.
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for how you use ChefBot's output: checking quantities and temperatures, handling food and equipment safely, and deciding what is suitable for the people you cook for. You must be old enough to use ChatGPT under OpenAI's terms. You agree not to use ChefBot to generate content that is unlawful, harmful or infringes the rights of others, and not to attempt to extract, copy or redistribute ChefBot's instructions, reference material or scripts.
5. Intellectual property
ChefBot's name, icon, instructions, reference tables, scripts and this website are owned by NeuralTake and protected by copyright and other laws. You may use recipes and other output ChefBot produces for you for personal, non-commercial cooking, including printing recipe cards and sharing them with friends and family. You may not republish ChefBot's instruction or reference text, offer ChefBot's output as your own commercial service, or use the ChefBot name or icon without permission. "ChatGPT" and "OpenAI" are trademarks of OpenAI; ChefBot is not made or endorsed by OpenAI.
6. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or withdraw ChefBot or any of its skills at any time, and we may update these terms by posting a new version on this page with a new date. Whether ChefBot is available in your country, on your ChatGPT plan or in your workspace is decided by OpenAI. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
ChefBot and this website are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of content.
8. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, NeuralTake is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, ChefBot or its output, including illness, injury, allergic reaction, damage to property, wasted food or ingredients, or any indirect or consequential loss. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to £100.
9. Privacy
How personal data is handled is described in the privacy policy. In short, NeuralTake receives no conversation data; conversations are processed by OpenAI.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers resident elsewhere keep any mandatory protections of their local law.
